Next Step CPR and Safety Training's primary focus is on being excellent instructors. While we have experience in the emergency field, we first come with over 20 years of combined teaching experience.
We want you to leave the class feeling like you have received great instruction that is easy to remember and implement. We use a combination of hands on practice, and instructor led lessons with humor (lots and lots of corny humour) and intentional verbaige to increase material understanding. Unlike most other cpr and first aid instuction organizations, we minimize the use outdated videos with monotone instruction.
This approach allows us to pace the class exactly to the students needs, with
the ability to spend more time on a difficult subject, special situations, and hands on practice.
We believe that learning CPR and First Aid is essential for everyone. Too many unnecessary lives have been lost due to poor first aid education or none at all.
Next Step CPR and Safety Training was established in 2008 by Tim Kreutzer. Tim started Next Step CPR as a result of years of frustration over taking classes in Denver by less than adequate instructors.
Like so many others, he would leave the class feeling less than empowered to deal with a life threatening emergency. Sure, there were lots of "war" stories of emergencies the instructors have dealt with, but few understood effective teaching and how to get the students to retain the material.
After spending many years in the Outdoor recreation field in education, guiding and working as a Wilderness First Responder, he decided to start up Next Step CPR to offer a better educational experience to his students.
